The 7th day is one of the three blessings (1:22, 1:27, and 2:3) we were asked to look for.
But the text also says that the 7th day is sancitified (KJV 2:3), which means set apart, holy, hallowed, honored.
Man blesses God (Elohim) by kneeling before Him, to adore Him.
Elohim blesses man by His many gifts and benefiits.
Sanctification is Elohim working within the person; the act of becoming hol. I think this is a life-long process requiring the action of both man and Elohim.
