Read Micah 3-5 at Bible Gateway.
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days
That the mountain of the LORD’s house
Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills;
And peoples shall flow to it.
Many nations shall come and say,
“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths.”
For out of Zion the law (torah) shall go forth,
And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Mic 4:1-2
We have been seeing how Judah, the Jews, were returned to the land; first in the centuries before Jesus came, and now, for the final time, no more to be scattered from their land forever. We have seen that Ephraim was scattered from the land and has not yet returned, even though the LORD has promised that they too shall return. We have seen that Ephraim was scattered among the nations and became a melo hagoyim, a fullness of Gentiles. They forgot that they were God’s people, and lived like Gentiles, but God did not forget them.
When Jesus came, He began gathering the lost sheep of the house of Israel to Himself (Mat 15:24). We have seen that beginning with Cornelius in Act 10, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ received a warm welcome among Gentiles, while before 100 ad, the Jews had officially closed their doors to Him, and expelled all believers from their synagogues, where they were used to meeting up until then. The division of the two houses, the house of Judah and the house of Israel or Ephraim, continued for a reason. The house of Judah preserved the written Word, the Torah, and the house of Ephraim preserved the Living Word, Messiah Yeshua, and the two witnesses of the One Living God were established. And neither of them encroached on the other. Judah did not embrace Yeshua, even though Yeshua is the living expression of Torah (Joh 1:14), and Ephraim did not embrace Torah, even though Torah is the written expression of Yeshua (Joh 5:46).
Paul told us that this state of affairs would remain until the fullness of Gentiles has come to Him, then Messiah Yeshua will also gather the sheep of the house of Judah to Himself, last of all, (Rom 11:25-26), so that the last will be first and the first last (Mat 20:16).
In the latter days, the regathering will happen, connected with the coming King of kings, who will reign from Jerusalem and judge the nations according to righteousness, so that peace will reign (Mic 4:3-4). Now in order for the LORD to make one people out of His two witnesses, as He has proclaimed He will do, Ephraim will have to drop his opposition to Torah, and Judah will have to drop his opposition to Yeshua. Yeshua and Torah are not opposed to each other, as we have been erroneously told, and in the latter days this revelation will break upon both Ephraim and Judah by the Spirit of the Living God, who has withheld this knowledge from them till the right time.
We are living in that time. Judah is becoming Messianic in an exponential growth pattern, and likewise Ephraim — Gentiles — Christians — those from many nations, are desiring to go up to the mountain of the LORD, to learn His ways and how to walk in His paths — the ways and paths that are defined in Torah. For out of Zion the Torah shall go forth. Zion is the prophetic appellation for the redeemed of Israel, the true ekklesia or church (assembly of believers), all the seed of Abraham who are the true seed by faith, as he is the father of all who believe.
So if as a Christian, you have thought nothing of eating bacon and pork chops and celebrating Ishtar’s day with bunnies and eggs your whole life, that is by design. Ephraim became so thoroughly Gentile that he forgot what it meant to be the set apart people of God who lived differently from the pagan nations. But if now you are realizing that God’s will is contained in His Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and that all His Word is established and unchanging forever and ever, including Torah, the foundation of it all, then that is also by design. Now is the time that the Spirit is waking up Ephraim, and Judah, and revealing Torah to Ephraim and Yeshua to Judah — because He who is coming to judge between many peoples, is coming.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not believe, nor do the Scriptures teach, that ONLY those who are physically descended from Abraham – Isaac – Jacob – the ten tribes – have become Christians. Ephraim’s physical descendants were the seed sown among the Gentile nations, millennia ago, and the fruit that they bore, even while they were unaware of who they were, was that many people from all the nations have come to know the One True God, YHVH Elohiym, and were set free from the bondage of lies and paganism (Rev 7).
It is by the blood of Jesus Christ that those who were not His people, were grafted in to the root of the olive tree, so that they became His people. This was God’s great and wise plan for redeeming the 70 nations who had rebelled against Him at Babel! Through the one nation, Israel, He drew them all to be joined to the God of the one nation, through the Door of Mercy and Grace, Messiah Yeshua, and they became His people, and He their God!
